Structure
and Parts
The
filler: It is the blend of leaves that
builds the inner part of a cigar, where
the strength lies. The blend is mixed
out of a secret combination of leaves,
which gives a particular taste to the
cigars of every brand.
The filler is made with long tobacco
leaves, which run from the head to the
foot of the cigar. Quality cigars have
a filler with long leaves, because the
taste remains all over the cigar and the
ash takes a good consistence.

Parts
of a cigar: Filler, binder, wrapper
|
Binder: The binder is used to hold the
bunch of filler tobacco together. It is
also helpful for a good combustion and
it influences the taste and bouquet. The
taste must almost be the same as the one
of the filler and wrapper.
Wrapper: The wrapper is the outside layer
of a cigar. It is the first visible part
of a cigar and it gives the cigar its
appearence, colour and bouquet. It must
have a good flogging, texture and a smooth
touch.
